@Ivanych - No, you may have been great THEN, but you still lost NOW...and the fact that you have lost NOW is what counts I afraid.  You are finalists, semi finalists, not champions.

Oh yeah, and it's not cos I'm bitter we weren't in it, our team sucks royally!

Well, Beckham spends more time at the spa and brushing his hair than in the football field. If that's the star of the team, don't expect good results  Grin

I would also like to mention that our goalkeeper - Igor Akinfeev - was great tonight and it's not his fault he lost 3 goals.
Yes, I must admit Germany and Spain deserve this final Smiley
And Turkey and Russia played real good football!

Well, yeah, it is.  He's paid to keep those balls out.  And he failed to 3 times.  If you made 3 major fuck ups like that at work, you'd be sacked!

oleeee oleeee oleeee!! the match was amazing, and even more living it in the stadium, what an experience! I have almost no voice today, singing non-stop for 2 hours or more Cheesy

It was great the Spanish Football Federation got tickets to sell to the Spanish fans and I could snap a ticket last minute, at normal price (!). It was well worth the 80 euro.

And I could finally experience Puyol on the field, what a guy! He's almost invisible, but no ball goes through him. And the way he organises the others and points them here and there to simply defend.

Aragonés made the best decision keeping Raul out, the primadona who had no clue about TEAM playing. You don't need guys with a name, you need guys who love to play football.

Wow, great! Tongue Näh, 'we' are losers BIG time!

What i do get from Ivanych' logic is that Russia can be proud of themselves of course, very proud since it's been a long time they came so far. Just as we in Holland are proud that we at least won (and played good football) against Italy & France.

And Judith, cool you were there in the stadium!! I really hope Spain is gonna win now, they absolutely deserve it!
