Nope, the Lonely Boys coming out before bearded dudes involvement

That CD is the supposed 'soundtrack' of a book, a book about a rock band... from the 60's. It couldn't sound 90's at all. But now it's different, I don't know why he's still stuck in that decade. Maybe it's fun for him, but that kind of music really bores me. I am a kid from the 80's, give me some synths!!!

Well..that's Per ...he makes his music to please himself ...not to please us. We will see. I'm sure he can't stay stucked in the 60's forever! He can't repeat himself again and again I hope.
November...hmm...an album in spring would be cooler. Mazarin was such a nice springalbum. I hate winter....I don't want to have winteralbums. And if so, than it's Maries job with her style of typical wintermusic.
Yes I know I'm strange Smiley

I don't really care about the background singer (Helena or another). The real problem there is the influence of a bearded guy called Christopher. All the Gessle albums sound vintage-60's since he's involved... Time to change the style, for God's sake.

By the way, I enjoyed the Helena's solo effort. I have not played it in a while, tho.

Well, "alvesre", Raelian. The "beared guy" bring out the best Gessle's music. I love the 60's and 70's sounds and when Per emulate those big guys from the golden years, I feel at home.

well.. I love the 60ies and 70ies.. but what Per has done in the last years just bores me. I prefer to listen to the original 60ies and co Grin
I am not even sure it's Christoffer, he has done cool stuff with other artists/other bands, I guess it's a mix of all. Or.. don't know, lack of .. something?
But well, I've already got used to my music-evenings without P Wink

C'mon, it's only a backing singer. I don't know why people focuses that much on her. She doesn't sing in every song either, where is the problem?

In my opinion, F5F, Mazarin , SOAP and EHM sound very much the same. I like the first 2, but the latest ones really bore me. It's getting worse through the years, I don't think I could deal with another album in the same trend. It was sort of... original at first, but no anymore. I am from a different generation. I grew up with the radio playing "Ghostbusters", "One Night In Bangkok", "Billie Jean", "Girls Just Want To Have Fun"... the 60's are not for me.

The problem for me is that her voice is very persisting, very in the foreground, too much, in some songs at least. Sounds like a tin can.

Raelian: I'm 30 years old and I love music from Beethoven, The kinks, Ravel, Beach boys and Palestrina. But I grew up with the radio playing Kraftwerk's "das modell" and I love synths too.
And if I have to call somebody when an invisible man is sleeping in my bed, I call the ghostbusters too.
Btw, SOAP and EHM are not the same. There's a musical abyss between those albums although both have the same Gessle's stamp.

Helen Pop: ever heard about this.. you know.. we all have different tastes Grin
I'm not discussing if Per can sing or not, or if Per does good music or not. I simply don't like what he has done since 2003 and I don't care if he's called Per Gessle or Macca. I simply don't listen to what I don't like and bores the hell out of me.
I can decide myself what good music is and what not.. to me Wink

Hmm, the 'tin-can' effect is partly down to production.  Possibly equipment as well, if they're using all that old 60's stuff.  And for all you Helena-haters, do remember he could do far worse than using her.  All four of No Angels doing backing vocals would be my personal hell, and I assume everyone else must have their own.

Helena's vocals have having prominence is kind of expected - she's a part of the group.  If you couldn't hear her, what would be the point of her being there?

It's nice to have a break from Per's vocals, I appreciate he isn't the best singer in the world, but he does have a voice that can be grating.  Helena is there to accompany, embelish, provide light relief, like Carla Trevaskis' songs between Joe Richardson's on 'SubHuman' by Recoil.  Some of the SOAP songs need a second, different vocal.  And despite the delusion vast swathes of you seem to live under, there's no guarantee that Marie would have ever done a better job singing backup.  We just don't know, do we?  Grin

Each to our own though!  Though I agree that Per needs to lay off the vanity projects and do something a bit more challenging then trying to regain nostalgia for losty childhood...

Less Helena and Christopher-- THE BETTER!!
no more tin cane ,no more lliaa-lia-liiaa.
Another background singer ,another sound!
We need something new -More guitars  at least.

Gessle must prove that "He didn't move into a people's old house already"

It's good when you delicated one album to 60-s , but if you write in 2008 ,another album with 60-s sound --you are out of time and place.
Even i won't buy the same kind of album for the third time.

and pleasee not another  thousands   1-min  songs.

About bad taste
The big succsess of SOAP and EHM tell us all.

Helena is not  bad but is diffrent singer Doesn't fit Per voice and Per old music  well.
She can sing Mazarin songs , but no GT or Roxette songs.
Doesn't bring power ,feelings , light to the show.

And in the shadow of Per she will stay forever the same.

Marie is from another world.
Don't compare them!
Look what  she did with Arn-single!
