Poll: When will Roxette release a new album?

As of now the poll shows 34% think never.Why do the voters feel that way?
What could be the reasons why there will never be another Roxette album?
Is it strickly because Marie might not be feeling up to recording a new Roxette album?
Is Roxette possibly unable to get a record deal or other problems with the record companies?
Would a new Roxette album be anticipated to sell poorly?
Does Per feel he will be more sucessful doing solo albums?
Is it for artistic reasons where Per and Marie wouldn't want to realease something new that isn't as great as their previous work?
Or are there other reasons?
It would be very interesting to get some opinions from those who think there will never be another Roxette album.

Roxette is just done. They had their big time and it was long ago and you can never get it back. They both know that and now that they have earned enough money to do what they want they just do it.

In an interview on Feb.9th,2008 she was asked if she will reunite with Per Gessle again as Roxette.She said"Yes,definitely"&"We talk all the time about it"& "but we don't yet know when or how."
The interviewer asked again if it is a realistic possibility that Roxette will reunite.She replied"I think so.Little by little it will happen."
She stated she couldn't move around the stage like she used to.She said the stages where so big before but it wouldn't have to be the same.It could be different,something smaller.
I'm not sure if these were her exact quotes because something could have been misunderstood in the translation.
So what are your thoughts on her comments?Do you think she is serious about wanting to reunite as Roxette?

There have been dozens and dozens of bands whose time was long ago.Yet,they come back and have huge success.
In some cases bands reunite and are bigger than before.Why is Roxette different?Why do you feel they can't do the same?
Even if they can't come close to being as big as before why can't they still continue an a somewhat smaller level?
Do you think that with their style of music a new album wouldn't sell in today's market?

Yes,it was over a half a year ago.Which is a very short while ago in regards to possibly making plans for an album.
Do I know if she still thinks like that?No.Only Marie herself knows if she still thinks like that.She may have changed her mind right after the interview was over.That is why I asked for opinions if anyone thinks she is serious about wanting to reunite as Roxette?

This is what I'm curious about.Why would they not want to reunite.What would some of the reasons be that they wouldn't or couldn't.
Marie has made solo albums and is doing Stjärnklart tour this autumn with some other Swedish artists.Per has made solo albums.Since they both still make music what makes the idea of a Roxette reunion seem so far fetched?

And I think it depends on how Per's album is if it sells good or not or better than a maybe-Roxette-album...

I´m pretty sure they already could had done some new album....but i think, it mostly depends on Marie´s will to work on Roxette again (and all the things connected with that); so nothing happended and won´t happen in my opinion.
I think, they won´t say "Roxette is out of action" cos´ it is sort of trick..... maybe they wanna make us, fans, still be awake and make a "noise" around

Roxette never was that 'huge' in Sweden as a group. They were very critisized by the press, because they are just seen as money-makers that sing in English. The Roxette albums usually get negative reviews from the Swedish media. Same happened to ABBA.

I have no idea what might come...I can't imagine that we would get a new album ever but I also can imagine that I might be wrong. Time will tell. So what are these polls for?

I agree with what you're saying.But is Marie and Per really the bosses for such decisions?What I mean is it just a matter of Marie and Per deciding if they want to make another Roxette album?Or is it possible that the record companies have just as much or more say if Roxette will ever release another record?

Some people think a new Roxette album won't sell very well.Some have said there is no chance of a hit.So is it possibly EMI would decide to pass on the idea of a new album?Would Roxette perhaps have to try to find a new record company like they did in the USA with Edel America Records?
