Anyway, it would be interesting to know it to be mentaly by her side...Shall I concentrate on Spain or Sweden...will she have a hickup the whole day or not? *please don't take me serious at 00:12*

I am sure it is not the first time Marie D "plays postman", it's not that difficult either, collect all stuff and send it to Marie in a big box, or give it to her, they live in the same town! ;-) The only issue here is that she might not get it on the day but later.

On the other hand, I think buying stuff is just a waste of time. I doubt she eats any chocolate or anything else people send her, I wouldn't (trust it) either *. And any other kind of presents.. I think she has money enough and who needs the 1000000th teddy bear? ;-)

The only things which I think make sense are letters/ messages/ postcard and self-made presents, like a painting or any other thing which might be "unique" and personal.

* I heard stories about bottles of wine or licour given to them (Per/GT) and ended up in the trash.

I agree with Judith! Yes I think at least a special selfmade birthday card or something like that is a must-do for the 50th.

@crashi: an opinion shouldn't be more important than the thing itself..... ( I just have read this phrase in a very fantastic book)
I don't know the english word for "klugscheißen" but I just "klugscheiß" now and say..: if I really wanna send Marie something important, I use her address....same with Per...doesn't happen often though cause I try to be a responsible fan and don't wanna get on their nerves.

The worst thing is...I don't have any creative ideas for a lovely card right now. I'm such a bad painter/drawer. Hmpf...Anyway..she will survive if she won't get a card from me. At least I hope to have a little party on her day!

Would be nice to maybe collect e-mails again and somebody (Judith??) forwards it to her.

I'd send her a nice pair of pantyhoses (or two). It's not heavy stuff, shipping must be the cheapest. In addition, women always need some. Cheap, useful... I can't think of anything better
