Marie´s new exhibition?

Oh don't say anything bad about Miró. I remember that we had a little contest at school where we had to paint like Miró and there we watched a documentary about him and than tried to copy his style. It ended up that a lot of pupils just copied his pictures but were not able to really DRAW like him their own stuff. (Bad english..I hope you now what I mean). I wouldn't hang a Miró into my appartment too but it's not very easy to paint this way...(...hehe..by the way I made the 2nd place in this competition...yeah )

What does a real MF-painting cost?

ooh..exhibition start already this week??..sniff..than it won't last until the end of February I guess..very sad.

I won't say Marie is a great painter, but the cover on The Change impressed me. It's just a few lines, but !!!!! how much feeling do they come with! I won't hang any of her paintings on my livingroom either, mostly because I can't afford them

I agree on that. I had the same disturbing feeling when I saw the cover for the very first time. It really suits the album, more than the pictures from the photo session. I had the chance to get the album's poster (the one with the drawings) and I'd hang that one in my living room if I lived on my own. A Rox poster would fit better in a teenager's room, but this one looks quite adult and 'arty' and nobody would laugh at it, I think (hehe).

In addition, I think the sad face in the "2nd Chance" single (with the bandage around the head) is even better and it should have been the cover of the album instead.

I mean to say I would not fly to another country just to see her drawings hanging in the walls at the exhibition. I prefer more classic art (Renoir being one of my favourite painters ever).

my mother painted when she was younger, but stopped some long time ago (no time.. two children, family business, home). She has however started to paint again about two years ago (together with pilates, English, PC courses + working part-time - did I ever say my mother is my biggest inspiration and the best on this world?). Her paintings aren't technically good or nothing similar, but I just luv them
I will ask her if next time I can take pictures of them, she will say no, of course

Marie's exhibition date: I am now quite unsure, Micke said it starts end of this week and lasts until 17th and that press release would be out LAST Thursday/Friday.. but it's 6th today and still nothing.. . Maybe they just want to wait until last minute like last time..

the last catalogue costed 400SEK
so my guess is that it will be same price!

I didn't mention here where exhibition will be, for what I heard it is organised by So Stockholm. I suppose it takes place there too. Neither how much the book costs. But I will ask Micke if they can be bought from outside Sweden.

It is open tomorrow to all public.
