I like it... I think it's a grower Smiley Marie's voice isn't what it once was but like Judith says her emotion and feeling has never been lost she still has sooo much heart when she sings Smiley Smiley

Yep Hotblooded that is true!! Would be sad if the song is only played at the end! It should have a main role in the movie! Lovely lyrics!!!!!!!! Thanx for posting!

Well, no, not really....the song does scream 'inoffensive background music to leave the cinema by', and the film isn't, or at least doesn't appear to be the sort of film you sit through the credits in case there's any outtakes or bonus stuff (like Shrek did), is it?

I love it! Smitten Marie touches my heart like she has always been touching it. She never lost this very special thing. What is it? I can never describe the reason why I love her voice and music more than any music else. It´s truth, warmth, love, emotions, power, stillness, darkness, ... It´s like you stand out in the cold and then you take on your warm coat and feel sheltered. Ach ja...

Wow...well said MaMan!!! That's why we are fans I guess and non-fans will never understand why we love Marie and Per so much! It's useless to try to explain it to them. A lot of Music nowadays has become a soulless shallow thing to make profit from. Marie is still a real ARTIST. She sings with all her heart and that's what you can hear. Smitten

Well, I don't think Marie sang this song for free either. She got and offer and she took it. And she got paid for it (like any other worker). I don't think she's making any charity here. She's not gonna record a song for a Swedish mega-production just for the fun of doing it.

Now give me the bullets, I am ready...  Kiss

Raelian..you got me wrong...of course Marie gets money for it and that is well deserved. With soulless shallow music I meant for example the casting-shows and there are so many other "artists" around who really JUST make music to be a star. To be able to sing doesn't mean that you are an artist automatically. Lots of nowadays stars are able to sing but they can't deliver anything with their so to called music. They are just marionettes to earn money. Per and Marie are putting something else inside their music. Love, feelings...that what MaMan explained. Even if they sing bubble-gum songs.
Maybe you don't get shivers when you listen to some special Roxsongs or Per and Maries solo stuff. But I do. And almost no other artist can make this happen. (to me)
..and yes..I know that there are not many fans who understand what I mean and what MaMan was talking about. That's life.
I don't talk about the money...I think Per and Marie deserve every swedish crown and öre they I've earned. Smiley

nordish-by-nature, I agree completely with what you and MaMan have said! This is what I love most about Marie (and Per, too) that she puts so much feelings into her music, she can make every song so true and sincere and belivable. This is really unique and I think this is why her music touches so deeply many of us.

And that's why she still touches us, even if we've heard her songs for millions of times now, even if her voice is not that powerful like in the 90s anymore. I've been listening to Marie for more than 15 years now. Every day. And every time I listen to her voice, she touches me. When I'm really down, I know, I just have to take one of her albums, listen and ... problems don't dissapear, but there's something that catches me, that takes me home, shelters me. It still happens. And I am still almost unable to turn off the music before a song is over.
I really would like to thank her somehow for all the strength and warmth she gives to me, but I don't know how.

With soulless shallow music I meant for example the casting-shows and there are so many other "artists" around who really JUST make music to be a star.

I can understand that. Actually, the music market is flooded by 'artists' that appeared out of nowhere. I have to confess they all look and sound the same to me. They have no personality at all. Who's able to see the differences between all the girls that came out from 'American Idol'? They all are blondes and have high-pitched voices. Even the covers of their albums look strangely similar.

One the other hand, I can't say I get touched by every song Marie (or Per) releases. '2nd Chance' -and the whole 'The Change' album- was special to me, for the most obvious reasons. We all were expecting for something new by her, knowing the sad circumstances she went through. But now it's ok. If I have to break in tears everytime she puts a new song out... what's left for the very very special songs? 'Sommaräng', 'Ordet är farväl' and 'Där du andas' are really nice songs, but I consider them part of her catalogue. They are not more special.

Well... I just got a new version of Windows Movie Maker, and I was experimenting. I wanted to make something better, but I had no time yet. This is the first attemp:

I think, you got us wrong. Well, I am definitely not that kind of hysterical fan that you draw a picture of here. It has nothing to do with braking into tears just because Marie did something new, no matter what. Sure there are songs I like more and ones that I like less. But even the songs that I like less are very special to me. And not because I love everything Marie does anyway (I wouldn't take her art seriously if I did it like that, hmm?), but because of what she puts even into these songs. Don't you get this very special feeling when you listen to her voice? Don't you feel this very special way when she starts to sing? Don't you hear the warmth, the truth, the sincerity, her heart in every single song?
Nordish, you seem to be right...

Nope, not every single song, at least not in my mind.  'There is no truth.  There is only perception'
