i totally agree with you judith - it really annoys me when all idiots talk about is when the next roxette material will come.  like you my main concern is not whether roxette will ever record again, but that marie stays healthy and enjoys whatever she chooses to do in the future.

having been  part- affected by a brain tumour (via my girlfriend) i am aware of how this illness changes you and your whole outlook on life.  marie also had the added `pressure` of being famous and all the baggage that comes with that - my respect for her has multiplied beyond recognition.

maybe those who have criticised marie for her lack of publicity, now and during her illness, should read the interview and realise how stupid and thoughtless they have been.

But I still have problems understanding some people  (mostly on TDR). Some just care about Marie telling she can see herself recording with Roxette again. As if that is all what counts and all she is here for. Some sound like they are not "angry" with her anymore, now that she finally said something more concrete/positive about Roxette

Of course, I am glad to see her so fine, sunshine Marie And talk so happily and full of energy, but I was already glad to hear about her before. Of course, it is positive to hear her talk about Rox, that should mean she is feeling fine and sees herself recording and touring with Roxette, but I am glad about the fact that she is fine and not about the fact of having a new Rox album in my hands in the near future. I couldn't care less if Roxette would not record ever again, as long as Marie is such a sunshine and full of energy. I hope you know what I mean

Oh yes I agree with you...TDR and Runto Rox....that is the big difference between not grown up and grown up fans who don't see their fave artists as musicmachines but as human beings.
I sort of closed the Roxthing for myself...looking at all the facts (Maries handicaps, their age and all what Rox have achieved) I didn't think of any real comeback of Rox...and I still don't. But that doesn't change my big love for them both.

It's sort of useless to discuss at TDR. They didn't arrive in reality ever...at least it seems so for me. And if you have a different opinion they don't listen but shout at you...KINDERGARDEN  sorry..TDR-poster...of course you are not ALL like that.

If it were me, TDR would only be a news site, without forum, as it looks like most people left over there are the ones with no brain or who have nothing else to do in their lives as argue with the others or just care about how many new Rox CDs they will be able to add to their collections.
It annoys me to read all that shit "if Marie can record home with Micke she can also record with Roxette" or other crap like that.

It might be that being ill and having somebody close to you suffering cancer might change one's life, I don't know, I understood and supported Marie way before that, but it might have got deeper in the last year.

Ah well, let them sadly be.

Marie and my mother got me to do something I haven't done for a veeeery long time: paint/draw. I am absolutely not good at it, but I used to paint and draw a lot when I was little and it was fun. My mother (with problems herself) told me during Xmas that painting helps her keep her mind somewhere else, out of this world. Then I told her about Marie's drawings (of course, my mum knows who Marie is, she even asks from time to time how she is doing ) and she totally understood it. Then she commented I used to draw a lot myself when I was little and showed me some stuff I had forgotten about and asked why didn't I start again (as she knows I need to relax and take things easier). I took my drawing stuff from Spain and I did

i agree with judith`s point about the tdr site - i visit there and find it sad that it has become so negative.  it seems to attack marie quite a bit and when somebody writes anything positive they are quickly rounded on - makes you wonder doesn`t it!

there is also another site where marie has been accused of using her illness/recovery to get out of performing in public - hopefully the person responsible will have either seen or read marie`s latest interview and will realise how cruel their insinuation was.  i`m not saying this to cause trouble - i`m just trying to point out that maybe we should show some common sense before accusing people.

I don't think that one should be ashamed for happiness about the planned rox activity! When Marie longs for a rox comeback, why shouldn't we? Don't forget that most of us originally fell in love with the front girl of Roxette, not the private person Marie F. So I think it's absolutely normal that the rox news in Marie's interview are the highlight for most fans. All that is about wishing, longing and joy. Nothing bad. It doesn't mean one doesn't care about her being healthy or happy.

On the other hand it's a totally different thing to demand something from Marie or to push her. To accuse her of being lazy or other not-so-nice things is really mean and lacks respect. But it's just a real small portion of fans who does that. Some a bit dumb, some clueless, some maybe too "hotblooded".

And I don't think there are totally other people over at TDR. Rather seems it's mainly the same people who visit all the major rox forums around. Problem with TDR is that it's the most "public" one. Just google Roxette and you get TDR in the top spots. That's the reason for so many random fans over there. At the same time many of the long term visitors went to other places when TDR lost much of it's appeal with it's (failed) relaunch. Now the ex smalltalk totally lacks a "warm" atmosphere. It looks clinic and anonymous. Sad for such a great site!

Yes, you are right. We are also careful about her health. But it´s Maries decision and Marie knows what she does. Marie wants to do something new with Roxette so we should be joyful. At least I am.
