I don't think that one should be ashamed for happiness about the planned rox activity! When Marie longs for a rox comeback, why shouldn't we? Don't forget that most of us originally fell in love with the front girl of Roxette, not the private person Marie F. So I think it's absolutely normal that the rox news in Marie's interview are the highlight for most fans. All that is about wishing, longing and joy. Nothing bad. It doesn't mean one doesn't care about her being healthy or happy.

On the other hand it's a totally different thing to demand something from Marie or to push her. To accuse her of being lazy or other not-so-nice things is really mean and lacks respect. But it's just a real small portion of fans who does that. Some a bit dumb, some clueless, some maybe too "hotblooded".

And I don't think there are totally other people over at TDR. Rather seems it's mainly the same people who visit all the major rox forums around. Problem with TDR is that it's the most "public" one. Just google Roxette and you get TDR in the top spots. That's the reason for so many random fans over there. At the same time many of the long term visitors went to other places when TDR lost much of it's appeal with it's (failed) relaunch. Now the ex smalltalk totally lacks a "warm" atmosphere. It looks clinic and anonymous. Sad for such a great site!

of course I am happy myself if they do some Roxette in the future, I also grew up listening to them and I can't simply ignore the fact they ARE part of my life. And even if I didn't like their last albums, I will surely support a new Rox album and a tour if she wants to. It is also a sign she is feeling better.

But there have been a lot of nasty comments about Marie in the past, people too stupid to understand she is a person and not just Roxette's voice, and if she doesn't feel like Roxette, then she doesn't feel like it. And if she instead feels like solo or Micke stuff, then she feels like solo. Why not. It's only up to her, it's her voice, her art, her music, her time, her life.

And now the same very people come and go like "it was about time" as if her decision until now had to do with her mood or it was Micke's fault (!). I call that stupid, ignorant and egoistic. Things like "these are the best news we've read in years" are just too much. I think the most important is the fact she explains she was diagnosed freeof cancer in Summer. Doesn't look like these words reached many people, neither many understood what that means. Depressing.

I have to say it again: Judith, I totally agree with you!  How do you say "den Nagel auf den Kopf treffen" in english (you did it) ??
And I want to add how I love her solo-albums!! She already gave so much through her music, didn´t she? The only thing I really wish concerning Marie Fredriksson is, that she is healthy and happy, enjoying every single moment of her life. If she gives us more music: great!! If she doesn´t: She already gave sooo much...

Hi! I am with you too, dear Judith. Unfortunately, you can't explain it to people who are simple consumers and have no distinguishing. Conserning what Marie said about Roxette, i am happy because if she thinks of it that means she is ok, i also happy because she is in good spirits and smiles. yes, she gave so much, especially through her solo stuff, and it's much more than only music, so if she is healthy and happy it is absolutely enough for me. that's why i am totally happy these last days!

For them who don't understand it, I tried to translate it:

"Roxette"-Star blind on one eye
She thought that she got over the consequences of her illness. "Roxette"-Star Marie Fredriksson (49) suffers since 2002 from a cerebral tumor. Now the singer had to accept a new setback. Marie can't see on the right eye anymore. The blindness is a consequence-illness which is caused by the tumor.

I guess Marie was already blind on that eye right after she fell down in her bathroom or at least after the operation and this is  5 1/2 years ago!!!!

me too. Same with that stupid article some austrian (was it german?) newspaper posted a while ago. What's even worse is using that as news (!!!)

I hope that maybe a while later she does another interview like that, if she decides to =) By the way, if she would invite Per with guitar, then she could sing an old song or two. I believe that could be a suitable solution for this "small thing" she mentioned. Sitting on that white sofa, she could avoid the stress of leaving her home even on a small tour, and also the terrible burden of making the new album. Then put the stuff on a DVD along with some landscape views of Sweden & Stockholm & the places where thay have been with concerts. And a narrative on the background =)

However, the main thing is that she is happy with how it comes along now.
