If Roxette were/are over...

Now, before anyone starts tearing me a new one, I'm saying 'IF' not 'WHEN'.  And if you do feel the need, you really need a fucking life.  KK, got that?

How would you react?  Would you be distraught, running around the house in tears, wearing mourning black and covering the mirrors whilst phoning the crisis-line?  Would you be upset, but accept it's their decision and respect it regardless?  Have you reached the point you've stopped caring, and anything new from them is a nice surprise?  Or would your reaction be different?  Anyone?

That's the way I've been feeling for a long time. I consider a pop band that gathers in the studio every 2 or 3 years to record a couple of new songs for a GH compilation is no longer active. I got used to to it. I hardly listen to any Roxette (or related) stuff these days, I am focused in other music at the moment. It's plenty of music and talent out there, my life does not turn around Roxette/Per/Marie.

I would not run around the house in tears, that's for sure!

Honestly, for me Rox is already over....somehow. But if they call it a day, officially I mean, then I'd rather be happy that they finally let the cat out of the bag. And then...live will go on as it did before, Per and Marie won't be off the scene then. They will surely go on making music.

For me, there are still some GT cds to be discovered, so I have some kind of alternative

I'll  upset, of course, because this would mean no more hope to see them again on the stage together.
However, I have their CDs and videos and can enjoy them forever. Recently I've got that huge Laserdisc with Sweden Live - and it was like seeing them on-stage again. In fact, I have never seen Marie in that kind of dress before

hiya rach in my mind i susspect from the latest interview that there is a new album getting made at the mo,when per was asked about solo stuff,gt and rox he said he is having a whale of a time with the new swedish movie but what caught my attention was he said it with a smile,

if rox are over then i will be thankful for the momeries etc and i think if they quit for more of A better way of putting it they might just do a abba and never offically say its over!

i think we will loads of per/marie solo but rox nope  it sucks but i could be wrong on everything i put,i could also be correct,

they tried to record a new album but noticed they didn't like it and stopped it and called it a day!

I'm having the opposite problem, I see a 'ROXETTE PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE COMEBAK' (the spelling mistake's deliberate, k?) I yawn, then get angry and want to slap the person responsible (usually I get over it pretty quick) - there's no use demanding what is not yours, and no use commanding when you have no right to command.  It won't change things.  If it happens, it happens.  So positivity is probably the best way to go - if it happens, it happens, if not, not.  Just enjoy what you have in the here and now.  It's not as if you're short of stuff to watch and listen to, is it?

I agree about 'One Wish' - I have not played it in long long time, it's quite embarrasing! But 'Opportunity Nox' rocks! Maybe their best up-tempo single since... 'Sleeping In My Car'? 

The weak side of the song is the relative lack of Marie vocals on it. I'd love a new version

Overall...i don't how i would react if there will be an official statement that "Roxette is over". Hmm...what do we have at the moment?? NOTHING!!?? You have to think now that Roxette is 'really' dead...and that without any statements

I don't like the cheap synth arrangement in "One Wish". And the lyrics are really bad, too... Should I mention the single cover as well?
