I didn't want to mean that she doesn't sing good, just not as great as she used to, but she herself says she could never sing IMHBL again
I also don't think she doesn't train / sing anymore, I have the feeling it's quite a musical family and they go around singing or chanting a tune quite often

I also think it's because of the age and the damn cancer her voice changed a lot.
Of course if you compare Per's voice in 80s and these days you will probably notice a slight difference, but if you compare Marie's voice on Have a nice day and for instance on this compilation the difference is just huge

Personally I think Marie's voice kind of lost something even before the cancer. I mean she's always had the passion and still does but technically she isn't the singer she was in the 80's & 90's. Listen to a performance from the Look Sharp or Joyride tour then listen to her on the Room service tour and you can notice quite a difference. I do miss those "Soul deep" moments when she just had so much power and control in her voice!

She almost sounds out of tune in the chorus of the swedish version of "A table in the sun"  but for some reason I still like it, it's almost like they wanted to keep it like that, very raw and real

At the end of the day one thing remains though and that is she always sings with feeling and she always draws me in

Indeed, that's more than evident when you play 'Baladas en español'. By 1996, she had lost most of her vocal power. In the Spanish versions you can hear she doesn't reach the highest notes as she did before (in songs like 'Un día sin ti', 'No sé si es amor' and 'Habla el corazón').

Well, I prefer A Table In The Sun. It's one of my favourite songs from The Change. Maybe I'm just more used to this version

The fact we can notice her voice has changed through the years doesn't mean we are not fans. Maybe you are one of those who LOVE and applaud everything they do, and any hint of "criticism" (even if this is not a criticism at all) is taken as a cruel attack.

Fan or not, nobody can deny the power of her voice is going downhill since the CBB era. It has to do with her illness, it started years earlier. And her voice IS NOT the result of the style she has adopted; she just can't reach the notes the way she did before.

Here's my two cents about Marie's voice:

of course Marie's voice has changed (Per's song writting skills have also changed, by the way), but it doesn't mean that her voice got worse. When I got The Change, I'd been listening to it non-stop for a month or so. 

Another proof that Marie still has a good voice is the review of the Room Service album in a Lithuanian newspaper. The critic gave the album 5/10 points and added that even Marie's wonderful voice couldn't save the album
