I've written down this song and translated. I hope someone will mark my mistakes in this translation, especially in the Enligsh part Smiley

Ett bord i solen / A table in the sun

Ett bord i solen / A table in the sun
Är allt jag vill ha / is all I want to have
Ta det lugnt varje dag / Take it easy every day
Den sista tiden har sÄ mycket hÀnt / The last time happened so many things
SĂ„ mĂ„nga tĂ„rar har jag aldrig kĂ€ntÂŽ/ So many tears that I’ve never felt

De mörka Ären / Those dark years
Är Ă€ntligen över / are finally over
Solen skiner igen / Sun is shining again
Även i november regn / even in November rain
SÄ mycket vi lÀrt / So much we have learnt
En helt ny vÀrld / A tottaly new world
Tack gode Gud / Thanks good God
Den sjunde vÄgen Àr stark som Du / The seventh wave is strong as You

Det Ă€r svĂ„rt att förstĂ„ / It’s hard to understand
Vad som hÀnde just dÄ / what had happened then
Behöver nog tid / We need some time
Du och jag / You and I
Och sÄ mÄnga gÄngar / And so many times
Undrat varför det hĂ€nde mig / I’ve been wondering why it happened to me
Det hÀnde dig / It happened to you

De mörka Ären / Those dark years
Är Ă€ntligen över / are finally over
Solen skiner igen / Sun is shining again
Även i november regn / even in November rain
SÄ mycket vi lÀrt / So much we have learnt
En hel ny vÀrld / A totally, new world
Och tack gode Gud / And thanks good God
Den sjunde vÄgen Àr stark som Du / The seventh wave is strong as You

Ett bord i solen / A table in the sun
Är allt jag vill ha / is all I want to have

Yes, you're right. There's another user with similar username.

By the way, I prefer the Swedish version best.

I must admit that I think that the singing quality in the english version is a bit better in my humble opinion....in the swedish version Marie sounds a bit like she is out of breath...and some notes don't come as clear as I'm normally used to by our lovely MF...hmmmmmmmmm...

I was going to say exactly the same. She doesn't sound as... secure as in the English version. For this reason, I prefer 'A Table In The Sun' (even if not one of my favourite Marie songs). The positive side of 'Ett bord i solen' is the shorter intro.

I still prefer the Swedish one. On one side I prefer Marie singing in Swedish, on the 2nd, I think it sounds more feelingfull (is this an english word?).

Regarding the voice: Marie's voice hasn't been the same since the damn cancer. And of course, she is like all other good singers, voice needs to be trained, which doesn't mean a trainer tells her how to sing, but just singing daily. No training -> voice gets worse. Singing is also about holding the voice, and this is muscles. I guess she doesn't sing as much as before, just alone the fact she is not touring anymore. That needs an intense training! (some do tour and sing often but voice doesn't get better Laugh)

Same as any sport, anybody who goes to the fitness center regularly, try not doing some intense weight lifting for 2 months, or 2 years -> your muscles will look almost untrained after a while.

Or try going 3 weeks on holidays, when you are back you will have forgotten all your passwords from your systems at work Cheesy Brain is not trained Grin (on the other hand, it's a good sign you have relaxed Tongue)

maybe perceptible or sensible?
as for the compilation, I can't listen to it at work - it needs special environment, because it doesn't suit the business style reigning at work - it needs full attention!

All good reasons Judith and understandable...but if she wants to record something than she should sing at least in the bath a lot to train her voice. I noticed that for my own voice too. There was a time where I had to drive 2 hours a day to get to and back work and I was singing in my car a lot. Since I changed the working place  > no more singing > bad voice...but well..I'm no proffessional at all but Marie should ...at least for a recording of a song and yes of course this f§%ing cancer has fault too but why is the english version sounding more clear to me than the swedish version?

Anyway...sort of useless discussion. Just a matter of taste in the end
